Taipei Geography

Taipei is located in the northern part of Taiwan, with 121.6 degrees east longitude and 24.9 degrees north latitude. Taipei City has a total area of 271.8 square kilometers. Taipei is a basin topography, it contains green leisure, historical heritage, culture, and art. The municipal flower is azaleas, the municipal bird is the blue magpie, and the municipal tree is banyan tree. Taipei city has a great location and it is convenient. It contains Taiwan’s first MRT network, Taoyuan International Airport, and several highways in Taiwan.

Taipei Attractions

Yangmingshan National Park

Lengshuikeng, Macao Hot spring, and Juansi waterfall are popular tourist attractions on Yangmingshan. You can also try their mountain cuisine, such as fried wild vegetables, sweet potato soup, and yam steamed bun. If you are in the arum season, you can also visit the bamboo lake to experience picking arum, and enjoy nature.

National Palace Museum

The National Palace Museum collects the essence of the art heritage of all ages. The most famous collection, including Mao Gongding, San family plate, Tsung-Chou bell, and so on.  Craft is the most important feature in the National Palace Museum. Apart from the famous jade cabbage and meat-shaped stone. There are lacquer ware, glass, gold and silver ware, and ink and paper ink paper collection. Palace class relics, including religious exhibits, such as shamanism and Tibetan Buddhism vessels and artifacts.

Taipei 101

Taipei 101 mall emphasizes on international fashion and dedication. The world-class space design and planning make shopping easy and comfortable. Taipei 101 mall has the same quality with New York’s Fifth Avenue, Paris’s les Champs-Elysees, and Rome’s La Rambla.  


Ximending is a Taipei famous fashion shopping district. It has the first and most iconic walking area. The Ximen Red House, Zhijie Street, Movie Street, KTV, Wannian Building, Wan Guo Department Store, Eslite Bookstore and a variety of boutiques are all available at Ximending.

Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall

After year 1964 world war 2, Sun Yat-sen started to build the memorial hall in order to commemorate the founding. The foundation ceremony was held the following year using Wang Da-tao architect to enhance traditional Chinese architecture. The building was opened in 1972. It is an expansive land with green infrastructure, lake, beautiful architecture, and known as Taipei landmark.

Songshan Cultural Industry Park

The architecture of Taipei Grand Hotel, preserved in classical Chinese beauty. It is not only the most dazzling landmark in Taipei, but also represents contemporary palace architecture.。

Taipei Fine Art Museum

Taipei Fine Arts Musuem has the mission of promoting the preservation, research, development and popularization of contemporary and contemporary art in Taiwan. Raohe Street Night Market 

There are hundred of street vendors offering delicious appetizers, including traditional tofu pudding, oyster vermicelli, fuhua pepper cakes, beef noodles, stewed pork ribs, spicy stinky tofu, and spicy duck blood. They are all famous, and they attract many people to the Raohe street night market.

Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall

Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall is a memorial to commemorate the late Republic of China President Chiang Kai-shek. It is located in Taipei's Zhongzheng District, it is the largest building to commemorate the president Jiang Zhongzheng.



Taipei Mass Rapid Transit System (MRT)

The easiest way to travel around Taipei City is by the Mass Rapid Transit System (MRT). The system operates according to a spoke-hub distribution paradigm, with most rail lines running outward from central Taipei in a radial direction. Stations are located in key locations around the city, often built-into or connected to major department stores, shopping districts, and major tourist attractions. It is the fastest and most convenient way to sightseeing in Taipei.

Operation Hour: Daily from 6am to midnight; extended services during special events.

Frequency: 1.5 to 15 minutes intervals depending on the line and time of day.
